West Highland is building a better community in Barcaldine

People and families are benefiting from high-quality, affordable homes at West Highland Housing Association’s Barcaldine development which completed last month.

The development consists of six homes for social rent and four homes for sale under the Scottish Government’s New Supply Shared Equity scheme.

Adrian Macleod, new resident, said: “There’s a lot to get excited about with our new home.

“The location is fantastic, the community has been very welcoming and the house itself is perfect for our needs and has been flawlessly built.”

“We were incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity and I am looking forward to settling in, making new friends and exploring the surrounding area.”

Lesley McInnes, chief executive of West Highland, said: “It is fantastic to hear that these homes are already making a big difference to the lives of the local people moving into them.”

“We were very pleased to have been supported by the Scottish Government and Argyll & Bute Council to build these new homes.”
