New West Highland HA CEO welcomed into Link Group

Brett Sadler has been announced as the new chief executive of West Highland Housing Association (WHHA), a Link Group of companies partner.

Brett Sadler, WHHA CEO

Brett joined the organisation on 4 July 2022 from North Wales Housing Association bringing with him a wide range of knowledge and experience, including expertise in digital solutions and innovation.

Brett said: “I’m so pleased to be joining West Highland Housing Association as Chief Executive.

“To be given the opportunity to lead an organisation that forms such an important part of the local community and area is really exciting and I can’t wait to start getting to know our customers, colleagues, board and wider partners and begin building upon the positive reputation of the organisation.”

Within his new role, Brett will build on the fantastic work of Lesley McInnes, WHHA’s departing chief executive.

Chair of WHHA, Gerry Boyle, said: "We are delighted to welcome Brett to the area, he joins us during a period of growth as we continue to build homes and create services to meet the needs of the community.

“Brett will have the full support of the board, and I am confident he will bring new ideas and opportunities that will cement West Highland's good reputation.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to publicly thank Lesley for her fantastic leadership at West Highland, where her vast experience and expertise have been a key asset in delivering excellent services to people and families across the community.”

Lesley McInnes will stay on with the housing association to support the transition until September when she will retire.

WHHA is a key partner within Link’s communities division, which also includes housing associations Link Housing, Larkfield and Horizon alongside care and support provider LinkLiving.

Link Group Director of Communities Sarah Smith said: “West Highland’s rural expertise has enriched Link’s knowledge of housing, ensuring we are best placed to deliver homes and services in a variety of settings to suit to peoples’ needs.

“Lesley’s leadership was key to the success of Link’s partnership with West Highland, her vast experience and good humour will be missed, and we all wish her the very best for a long and happy retirement.

“Link celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and we are focused on looking to the future alongside acknowledging past achievements.

“As we enter this new chapter for the organisation it is undoubtedly an exciting time to welcome Brett as a new leader.

“Coming to us from Wales, Brett will be able to deepen our understanding of the housing landscape even further, expand our expertise in customer service excellence and position us strongly to help people and families during increasingly challenging times.

“I look forward to working with Brett to build on the services WHHA delivers to the communities we support.”
